Calls and chat: Calls use Base Engine time plus each selected default Paladin LLM, STT, and TTS component. Chat uses Base Engine time plus the selected default Paladin LLM component. Components that are not selected are not charged.
Platform-only usage (Base Engine): 0.379 credits/min. The Base Engine is always charged for platform usage and applies by itself when you use Paladin’s platform while connecting your own LLM, STT, and TTS providers.
Default Paladin Stack add-ons:
Using the full Default Paladin Stack together with the platform consumes 3 credits/min. If you use only some default components, only those selected components are charged.
Start threshold: New paid activity starts only when the combined available balance across the applicable workspace and personal scopes is above 3 credits. Activity already in progress is not interrupted solely because the available balance later crosses that start threshold.
Provider measurement: Default Paladin STT is measured by audio duration, default Paladin TTS by generated characters, and default Paladin LLM by provider-reported token usage.
Provider spend guardrails: Required credits are reserved before a default-provider request. If the next usage event cannot be fully funded, it stops before that provider request is made.
Default-provider overages: If the exact provider cost exceeds the fixed component credits already charged, only the additional overage is deducted. Any such overage is reconciled for the applicable provider usage event.
